This online community calendar is designed to assist local non-profit groups in spreading the word about their organizations, events and programs to the local community. By using this site, local not-for-profit groups can publicize their events more easily, and for no cost.
CommunityEvents.ca provides people in the community with a single, easily accessible source listing local non-profit groups, community events and information about getting involved!
By using the site, an organization can create their own profiles, add and edit events, and display all this to the general public along with contact information, and links to their own websites. Once registered, a non-profit group will obtain a user ID and password, which will give them access to the special features available to approved groups.
The CommunityEvents.ca calendar was created by the Waterloo Public Interest Research Group (WPIRG), at the University of Waterloo.
